Another chapter unfolds in the history of the Bachelor of Science (BSF) in Forestry program of the UPLB College of Forestry and Natural Resources. The program is currently on the bid of renewing its certification to the ASEAN University Network-Quality Assurance (AUN-QA). Coming from the global havoc caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, the program shall be reevaluated based on the metrics set by the university network body.
The BSF program’s first AUN-QA Network certification was awarded in 2017 and ended in 2022. But preparations for its timely renewal stalled because of the disruptive nature of the pandemic. After the restrictions loosened and normalcy has been restored, the College systematically worked on its internationalization strategies, with the baccalaureate degree at the helm.
The ASEAN University Network-Quality Assurance (AUN-QA) is established as the ASEAN Quality Assurance Network in Higher Education. It is tasked with the responsibility to promote quality assurance in higher education institutions, raise the quality of higher education, and collaborate with both regional and international bodies for the benefit of the ASEAN community.
